I have been noticing that in the past month America has had favor less and less. Now we are going on our 3rd day without favor for more than an hour. The reason is simple. Europe is either better at PvP or there are more PvPers there. Both are most likely true.

I paid for FoW, and UW content. Now I can't ever access it.

I am not a pvper and I hold nothing against our pvpers in America. I just seems that they are completely out matched. I only play GW to do high level farming. If something about the favor system does not change I will be forced to play another game that doesn't block content from their customers.

I think the system works well but can totally understand where you're coming from. When we (Europe) don't have favour and I want to go into FoW/UW it's so frustrating (even more so because I'm not good enough to help get it back).

Here's an idea they could use though, how about making the countries without favour pay more to get in to these areas? Maybe 2k or 3k instead of the usual 1k? At least that way you can still get in?

Meh, this is been a pretty common thread. You get to go when you have favor, thats it by design, just like the elite missions in cantha were/are a sore thumb. I don't expect the system to change and think it makes going to uw or fow that much more intreging.

I like that idea bout the extra k to enter fow/uw. The favor system is something that should have never been just like the entrance to cantha elites (which anet has stated was a mistake that they never got around to changing)

How well a continent is doing in pvp should not determine pve play.

People dont go to toa see that there continent doesnt have favor then go to HA to get it back

The Favor system has been flawed and needless since the moment it was instated. Yeah, it sucks, but they've been pretty firm in their stance that it's going to remain as-is, unfair as it may be.

Ever since the 6v6 America just hasn't been as enthusiastic about pvp. The number of European teams really outnumbers the American teams, so the only time America gets favor is when a lucky 2 American teams win halls back to back (each holding a couple times). Usually if an American team makes it, they get taken off a few rounds later by Europe, and it only takes just one to end the streak. You want favore more? Come help us win it.

I suck at pvp or I would. Farming is my game. I just hate that between Cantha and Prophecies there is a lot of content that is completely unavailable to me. <<<<BUT I PAYED FOR IT>>>>

You know what I am gonna do something about this. If anyone wants to start organizing a super HoH team. I have a high codec Team Speak server that I run 24/7 And I will fund a killer HoH team. so all pvpers interested in taking back Favor for the land of the free. whisper me.

What I don't understand is that you get a PvE reward for doing well in PvP.

Favor should give some sort of PvP reward (fancy glow when you enter, advantage in other arenas, or something)

The vast majority of GW players either like PvP or PvE more. Few play both the same amount.

It would only make sense to have two "favor" systems. One for PvP with PvP rewards, and one for PvE with PvE rewards.

Access 24/7? That is a horrible idea.
And you shouldn't have to pay extra for access if you don't have favor. They should find another way work out favor itself. The fact that access to a high demand, end-game PVE area is determined by PVP is completely asinine.
Someone answer me this:
1. Why exactly did they think this was a good idea.
2. What, because I can't think of anything, does PVE determine for PVP?

I agree that the favor system needs to be changed. As it is now, the system is more of a punishment to those without favor than it is a reward to those who have gained it. Additionally, saying "those who have gained it" is also somewhat inaccurate. While there are many people who enjoy both PvP and PvE, I'm sure there are people who win halls that could care less about going to the underworld, just as some people who want to go to the underworld could care less who wins a PvP match. This makes the correlation between the two even more absurd.

I agree with the OP's idea for charging people without favor more for entrance. This way it can still be viewed as a reward for people with favor and not as much as a punishment for those without it.

Just to be pedantic and all,
@ OP, you payed for the license to play guildwars. Not this whole waaa-waa i payed for UW/FoW.

But anyway, it would be nice if there was some PvE method of gaining favour... not always so easy/im lazy to find a decent HA team =p

As much as I agree with the favor system it is totally flawed in the fact that unless you have favor you cant get in at all. It should be like 5K to get in if you dont have favor, not a total inability to get in.

Make a choice. If you "payed" for UW/FoW then register your account to europe. Since they have favor most of the time during the day that would seem to be your best option.
